From 2020 to 2025, PIMSA has experienced significant growth, becoming a key player in the local economy. Here’s a concise overview:
PIMSA’s steady expansion highlights its role in boosting local employment and fostering industrial growth.
PIMSA’s 330-hectare biodiversity buffer zone is key to its sustainability strategy. This area, rich in dry tropical forest, supports vulnerable species like the Chavarría bird and provides essential ecosystem services such as flood control, carbon sequestration, and microclimate regulation.
The zone also aids sustainable fishing, water collection for the municipal aqueduct, and wildlife conservation. Collaborations with environmental authorities ensure its protection and enhancement. As part of the GEIPP Colombia program, the mangrove ecosystem is explored for cost-effective wastewater treatment using native flora.
PIMSA developed an Eco-Industrial Park (EIP) Plan. With 60% of its land available for development, the plan aimed to attract 80 new companies and promote sustainable growth.

Commitment to Community Well-being
PIMSA’s administration actively promotes community well-being and integration through various events:
Both events receive 100% satisfaction from surveyed participants. Additionally, PIMSA organizes cleanup days with the municipality and environmental authority, further demonstrating its commitment to the community.
