Indupark has been a catalyst for regional economic growth, driving direct and foreign investment while creating numerous direct and indirect jobs across sectors like construction, transportation, and consulting.
By 2024, Indupark secured over 162 clients and had 23 active industries, representing 14% of its operational capacity. Its focus on sustainability and business synergy has positioned Indupark as a benchmark for Eco-Industrial Parks, demonstrating how business growth can align with environmental stewardship and regional development.
Indupark has significantly contributed to local economic growth by creating direct and indirect jobs, with employment rising from 130 in 2021 to 700 in 2024. The park, home to 23 diverse companies, drives local labor demand both within industries and through their supply chains. Indupark also maintains an updated database of local suppliers, which it shares with clients, strengthening regional competitiveness and fostering community integration.
Indupark is committed to sustainability and environmental responsibility, demonstrated by its certifications that recognize its efforts in resource management, energy efficiency, and the use of materials with a reduced carbon footprint. Its conscious design includes the installation of over 10.000 meters of piping for the distribution of treated water for utilization by tenant companies.
Additionally, 5,000 m² of landscaping has been developed across the industrial park, with treated water being used for maintenance. The park also prioritizes the use of sustainable materials, as seen in the construction of our gateway, where we chose wood from responsibly managed forest plantations to minimize CO2 emissions and reduce our carbon footprint.
The industrial park initially lacked a Master Plan. However, after joining the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP), the company committed to developing one in alignment with the International Framework. By the end of 2024, significant progress had been made, with 39% of this critical milestone completed.
The black lines show the park’s achieved scores in 2024 for each Eco-Industrial Park aspect (Economic, Environmental, Social, and Park Management), while the green lines indicate the expected scores by 2028.
Capacity building and community engagement
Indupark has actively contributed to the social well-being of the local community through various initiatives. In 2024, the park organized five key events: a donation of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) to local firefighters, a canine health campaign offering deworming and vaccination for animals in the area, a Christmas event for children from the zone, technical training in renewable energy and natural gas for companies within the park, and job fairs to connect local residents with employment opportunities.
These actions demonstrate Indupark’s commitment to fostering a positive ecosystem, improving the quality of life for local families, and creating a collaborative environment that enhances both social and economic development in the region.
